Laid to rest
Jamaicans from all walks of life will on Tuesday lay to rest a man who was larger than life.
The official funeral for the late Professor Ralston ‘Rex’ Nettleford, Vice Chancellor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) will be held at the University Chapel on the Mona Campus starting at 10 o’clock.
Professor Ralston ‘Rex’ Nettleford who was born on February 3, 1933 in Falmouth, Trelawny, rose to prominence as a dancer, choreographer, trade unionist, scholar, lecturer and author and upon his passing, Vice Chancellor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies. Read the rest of this entry »
